upcoming readings and events
This fall I’m reading with Lindsay Lusby and Julia Kolchinsky Dasbach as part of our (M)other(ship) tour! (And we’d love to come visit your reading series/bookstore/book club, if you’re interested!)
I’m teaching two workshops at Rutgers-Camden’s Cooper Street Writing Workshops this fall – Getting Started and Getting Unstuck on September 21 and The Joy of Revision on November 16. (And, for a limited time, you can get a discount when you register for both!)
I’ll also be in the Poetry Tent at the Collingswood Book Festival on October 5, 2019.
Have a poetry manuscript you’d like some help with? I’ll be leading a workshop, From a Pile of Poems to a Cohesive Collection: Revising Your Poetry Manuscript, at Barrelhouse’s Conversations & Connections workshop on October 26, 2019 at Chatham University in Pittsburgh.
I’ll also be reading with Cynthia Arrieu-King at the Stockton University Visiting Writers Series in January 2020.
selected interviews & good news
My chapbook Acadiana was reviewed in Eco Theo and Run & Tell That Reviews. You can also read my interviews about the collection in The Chapbook Interview, Carpe Noctem, Cloudy House, and Speaking of Marvels. (And thanks to everyone who’s read and bought and talked about the book. We’ve gone into a second printing!)
Many thanks to the editors of Radar Poetry, who nominated “St. James at the Ascension Parish Drive-In” for Best of the Net.
Huge appreciation to the New Jersey Council on the Arts for a 2017 Fellowship in poetry. Kevin Riordan, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, wrote about the award here.
Jan Beatty interviewed me for Prosody after we read together in Pittsburgh this past February, and you can hear that interview here.
Thanks also the editors of Smartish Pace, who chose “The Nature of Love” as a finalist for their Beullah Rose prize.
