Work with Me

I’d love to come visit your class, organization, or book club.

I’ve led community writing workshops for Philadelphia’s Blue Stoop, the Writers House at Rutgers-Camden, Murphy Writing of Stockton University, and more, and I’ve read and spoken at festivals including the Wisconsin Book Festival and the Dodge Poetry Festival. I’ve also lectured, visited courses, and led workshops at Lafayette College, Marist College, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Westchester Community College, and others.

WORKSHOPS & LECTURES

  • Available to visit your class/school/office/library, virtually or in-person.

  • Topics: writing across genres, sustaining a creative life beyond the workshop, developing a book proposal and querying agents, creative research, using scholarly research to reach popular audiences

  • To request an in-person or virtual speaking engagement with me, send me an email or contact me.

BOOK CLUB VISITS

  • I love meetings with readers at book clubs and moms groups, and I’ve recently been a featured guest at Moms of Fitler Club, South Jersey More Than Mothers, and elsewhere. These events are intimate gatherings where moms can really connect about what matters to them.

  • You can find a book club discussion guide here, and I’m happy to work with facilitators to develop the focus of our gathering.

  • If you’d like me to visit your book club or moms group, send me an email or contact me.
